June 2, 2021 (MOKENA, IL) - The Maddog Strong Foundation, a federally designated non-profit that educates and promotes organ and tissue donation among teens and young adults, announced today that it was named a Silver Award Winner in the 42nd Annual Telly Awards for their “Teach Life” educational documentary produced by Motion Source Productions.
With over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents, this award recognizes the best in video and television across all screens. Entrants are judged by The Telly Awards Judging Council—an industry body of over 200 leading experts, including: advertising agencies, production companies, and major television networks—reflective of the multiscreen industry, as well as executives from Dow Jones, Duplass Brothers Productions, Complex Networks, A&E Networks, Hearst Media, ESPN Films, RYOT, Vice+ and Vimeo.
The Award-Winning Teach Life documentary is one of the main components of the new Illinois Teach Life Organ and Tissue Education Curriculum Program which will be available free to all Illinois High Schools starting in the Fall Semester of 2021. Thanks in part to the generous sponsorship of The Maddog Strong Foundation, Donate Life Illinois and The Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Donor Network, this program will allow high school health and science teachers to help their students learn about organ and tissue donation so they can make an educated and informed decision about registering to be donor.
“We are beyond excited that our Teach Life program continues to receive national recognition for its creative, honest and educational impact,” said Frank Grobmeier, Executive Director of the Maddog Strong Foundation. “I’m also very proud that this program was developed not only by industry experts, education curriculum developers and high school health science teachers, but also by transplant recipients and donor families.”

The Maddog Strong Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charity that promotes awareness and education for organ and tissue donation
registry among teens and their families. The charity was created in 2019 in the spirit of Maddie “Maddog” Grobmeier who
passed away unexpectedly from an asthma attack the day after her 18th birthday. Maddie inspired many by donating her
organs and tissues so that others could live on to do amazing things for the world.
